　　Designed specifically for the PGD/MA students, the required SSMA courses cover disciplines in sociology, psychology, economics, and political science. Students are required to take courses from one or more of these disciplines. At the beginning of each term, the Program Office will announce a list of courses to be offered by the Division.

　　1. General Admission Requirements of the University

　　Applicants seeking admission to a master‘s degree program should have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, or an approved equivalent qualification.

　　2. English Language Admission Requirements

　　Applicants have to fulfill English Language requirements with one of the following proficiency attainments:

　　TOEFL-iBT: 80

　　TOEFL-pBT: 550

　　TOEFL-Revised paper-delivered test (effective from 2018/19 admission): 60

　　(total scores for Reading, Listening and Writing sections)

　　IELTS (Academic Module): Overall score: 6.0 and All sub-score: 5.5

　　雅思：綜合得分6.0，單項(xiàng)不低于5.5

　　Applicants don‘t need to present TOEFL or IELTS score if

　　their first language is English, or

　　they obtained the bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an institution where the medium of instruction was English.

　　On successful completion of the program, graduates will be able to:

　　Design research projects based on fundamental principles of social science inquiry;

　　Explain basic statistical concepts used by social scientists and apply related methods to data analysis;

　　Articulate key concepts and important theories in major social science disciplines;

　　Evaluate and critique scholarly works in the social sciences;

　　完成本項(xiàng)目學(xué)習(xí)之后，學(xué)生將有能力：
